I live near a dry riverbed where I take long walks and try to notice everything. I will always stop to watch a soaring hawk. I pick up strays and try to nurse them back to health. I have succeeded a few times and that is something I am proud of.
I like old dogs and cast offs. I appreciate sarcasm and kindness and always root for the underdog. I’ve never quite fit in and that is something I’m no longer sure I want to change.
I have had an unconventional life, which has given me an endless and often embarrassing supply of source material for my writing, which ranges from absurdly dark poetry to absurdly hopeful short stories and screenplays.
Mostly, I do this for myself; so I can move on to the next thing. If any of what I write touches someone or makes them smile or feel less alone, I will have done something good in this life.
Peace.
